Jonathan's World of Opportunity

This year, I'm helping Engineers Without Borders enable Canadians build a World of Opportunity for rural africans.

One of the key ways that EWB is working to accomplish this is by helping canadian engineers to become leaders around the world. I'm motivated by the massive potential for Canadian engineers to contribute practical solutions to extreme poverty, to broaden the their thinking and actions to create massive and monumental change. EWB is working hard to promote the importance of globally-minded engineers to engineering students, engineering faculty and working engineers to show how they can use their engineering talent to serve society.

This year, EWB will contribute to curriculum at 20 universities and reach 15,000 students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to become global engineers.

This is why I am asking you to support EWB’s work this holiday season. The work that we do at EWB is really important to me since I truly believe that it helps to make a difference in the world. EWB is a powerful vehicle for creating positive change and we are seeking to increase our impact – by doubling our volunteer capacity and flexibility to innovate.
