Jane's World of Opportunity |

Hello family, friends, and colleagues, I truly believe in the work that Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is doing. I know of no other organization that is as capable of mobilizing engineers to change the world. And like it or not, the world needs engineers! As you may know, I've been involved with EWB for quite a few years. I've worked on several projects in Canada. Most recently, I have been helping to showcase the many opportunities for engineers to serve society. My good friend Owen Scott from the University of New Brunswick is working in Malawi with EWB right now. I would really like to help support his work. Owen and I are working on very similar water and wastewater projects for rural communities -- only the rural people he works with have much fewer resources than we have here. After working for B. M. Ross I quickly realized that there are more similarities than differences facing communities in all parts of the world. Even $5 will go a long way in supporting Engineers Without Borders’ work in Africa. Just be sure to tell all the kids in your life, who want to change the world, to think about what they could do with a degree in engineering! As well, my sister Ann is going to be volunteering with EWB in Africa this summer. You can visit her at Ann's campaign page. Wishing you all the best, Jane PS Check out our latest video project: ESTW. It will be four minutes well spent. |
