Mark's World of Opportunity

Dec. 1st - Creating a Business Plan for Mr. Lumbilisa.

As I slowly make my way back around the globe to see family and friends, I cant help but feel like I'm leaving behind a country full of amazing people. They have been there for me in times of need and I hope to be there for them for many years to come.

What I hope to do is help create opportunities. I was born into a world of opportunity and I believe everyone deserves the same.

Engineers Without Borders has allowed me to maximize the impact of my efforts. They provide amazing support to myself and everyone on the Agriculture Value Chains team in Zambia. Today I hope that we can give back a little so this support can continue.

I am asking for everyone who has a credit card to donate $20. There is nothing else I'd like more for Christmas.

Above is a photo of me and two amazing people. One is Mr. Chiko who I work with, and the other is Mr. Lumbilisa, who is a strong farmer and is renting an ox-cart from me. This ox-cart is a valuable asset that would've taken him a few more years to obtain, but thanks to some assistance from EWB he is able to slowly pay for it while making extra money as he uses it.
